The Property
The Inn on 6th
Owned by the Melsom family since 1972, the originally named Pinecrest Motel is the perfect place to stay in Owen Sound for all travellers. Rooms are exceptionally clean and exquisitely designed. They come with plenty of amenities in each individual room, as well as larger amenities that we provide on the property, such as barbeques and an outdoor playground.
The Pool
Our heated saltwater pool is the perfect place to relax during the summer seasons here at the Inn on 6th. Rooms come stocked with pool towels. The pool is open 24 hours for all guests.

Room Styles
Standard Room with a Queen Sized Bed
Our standard room for 1-2 guests. Rooms are exceptionally clean and come with a number of amenities including a 45″ LCD TV, a refrigerator, a microwave, a coffee maker and a telephone.
Standard Room with 2 Double Beds
This is our alternative standard room with two beds for more occupants. This room comes with the same standard amenities that come with every room but with a larger space and two double-size beds instead of the standard queen.
Standard Room with a Queen-Sized Bed and Full Kitchen
This accomodation is an upgrade to the standard room with an additional full-sized kitchen with all the amenities you need to cook your own meals during your stay here at the Inn on 6th. In addition to our rooms with full kitchens, there are smaller rooms with kitchennettes.
Newly Renovated Room with a Queen-Sized Bed and Full Kitchen
Our motel has made recent renovations to provide even bigger and more cozy accomodations for your upcoming stay. These renovated rooms were created by merging two units into one, creating plenty of room for a full kitchen and additional amenities such as an extra TV.
The Luxury Cabana with 2-Person Jacuzzi and Kitchen
A 700 square foot unit apart from the motel directly beside our saltwater pool. Comes with a king-sized bed and 2-person jacuzzi. Also includes a full kitchen, a Double Murphy bed, reclining couch, 70 INCH-TELEVISION and a private deck!
William Lawrence Melsom
This RCMP bear is in memory of William Lawrence Melsom, Owner Steve Melsom’s Uncle. William was a RCMP constable, enlisting in 1953. #18050 Cst. William Lawrence Melsom died in a traffic accident while responding to an emergency call in Port Alberni, B.C. William was then buried in the Anglican Cemetery in Woodstock, Ontario.
